At only 38mm in height, the PiRO Noir can control a range of additional peripherals using
both USB and GPIO. No longer relying on 26bit podules for expansion, it can make use of
additional USB drives using SCSIFS, and a whole range of connected peripherals. It even
has easy-to-access GPIO to the side of the case.
Processing
Slim and slick.
PiRO Noir features high-performance DDR4 memory, which, combined with
the state of the art ARM CPU, all adds up to faster processing. With 2GB of
fast RAM, PiRO Noir capable of more than you can possibly imagine in
RISC OS.
Storage
Super Turbo Drive System.
With a combination of a fast micro SD card and our optional high capacity
SSD add on, the PiRO Noir can store all of your necessary apps and files,
and load them in super quick time. For users with access to disc-intensive
applications, like modern web browsers, the SSD can operate as traditional
filecore storage, or as a Super Turbo Drive which loads them even faster than
native SATA drives on some of the slower CPU RISC OS machines. And
expanding your storage is easy - simply replace the STD with one with more
capacity.
Temperature Control
Active Cooling.
The PiRO Noir comes complete with passive cooling heatsinks attached to all
of the components that produce the most heat. When utilised with CPU
throttling when idle, the system remains cool in use. But just in case, there’s a
software controlled PWM-fan built into the heatsink, for when things really
start hotting up.

Utilising the flexibility and speed of RISC OS, combined with the processing power and
robust storage, the Pi Hard helps you become a more efficient RISC OS user. Not to
